    What curriculums do you offer?

We offer the following curriculums - CBSE, ICSE, IB & IGCSE, SSC

    Which board is better, CBSE or ICSE? How do parents decide the most appropriate board for their children?

CBSE

  • It is a more widely accepted board in India and International level.
  • It makes it easier for students to prepare for competitive examinations like JEE and AIPMT as the basic syllabus is the same.
  • Going by the number of schools, CBSE is the second largest board in the country after the state board. You will find CBSE schools everywhere in the country.

ICSE

  • Syllabus has more in-depth study of different subjects. It is perfect to opt for scholarship examinations attuned to global education standards.
  • The course is slightly more rigorous than SSC & CBSE.
  • There is extensive project work.
  • Due to the emphasis laid on English in ICSE, students from this board may hold a slight edge over other students in exams like TOEFL and IELTS.
    What is the procedure for taking internal transfer?
  • DPIS Society has over 135+ schools across 40 + cities in India. We are also present in Uganda.
  • Parents can avail inter-DPIS transfers by first checking with the DPIS school nearest to their new place/city.
  • Then they can apply for Inter DPIS transfer at the current school and the concerned school will check the seat availability in the proposed school.
  • Post an internal approval, the parents pay the differential fees and the student can join school again.
    What is the Teacher: Student ratio in your school?
  • The teacher student ratio is 1:40 (or less), whereas for Montessori classes we have 1:25 ratio (approx.)
    In case of Inter DPIS Transfer in the middle of the academic year, is there any difference in syllabus?

No monthly syllabus is centralized, even examination dates remain the same for the same state.

    What are the modes of payment of School Fees?
  • Registration fees has to be paid in cash
  • The admission fees are accepted through card or cheque
  • Term fees/transport fees etc. can be paid via cheque, debit/credit card or online via DPIS Parent App-Mobile or Desktop
    What kind of International Platform do you provide?

We have established partnerships with institutions across the globe to instill an ‘international-mindedness’ among the students. We train students for the opportunity to live and work abroad in a challenging and stimulating environment.

    How will extracurricular activities help my child?

We encourage participation of students in extracurricular activities to give every child an opportunity to develop inherent skills and exhibit their non-academic abilities.

    Does the school have any counselors?
  • Yes, we have a team of in-house counsellors comprising of certified psychologists and school counsellors who help students dealing with learning issues, emotional and mental disorders
  • Counsellors also regularly counsel students and parents on 1-2-1 basis and conduct workshops, seminars with parents and students ensuring the emotional and mental well-being of the children
    How do you deal with Bullying?

We have an Anti-bullying policy in place. Any cases of bullying reported in the school are attended with utmost severity. Parents are informed and appropriate actions are taken.

  • The child is referred to the counsellor for counselling if required.
  • Students who are involved in bullying are monitored for any repeat offences.
  • Additionally, counsellors, conduct regular workshops for students on topics - good and bad touch, self-defense, bullying and so on.
    How do you deal with a child who is unable to meet the academic expectation or is a below average child?
  • After every term ends, we review the performance of each student.
  • We conduct remedial classes for students who need support and monitor their performance until after the next set of exams.
  • We also check if these students have extraordinary abilities/interest in sports, music etc. If so, we encourage them and provide a conducive environment for them to progress in that field.
    How can parents be connected to the school? Or how approachable is your school to the parent?

    1. Through DPIS Parent App

  • Using the DPIS Parent App - Mobile and Desktop, parents and children can access the attendance, announcements, syllabus, homework, assignment, projects, exam and test datasheets.
  • Parents also receive an SMS in case the child is absent in school.
  • Parents can interact with the teacher and vice versa to be aware of the child's academic performance.

    2. Through Social Media:

    Parents can like their child’s School’s Facebook page and follow them for regular updates.

    3. Through personal meetings:

  • Parents can visit the school and meet the class teacher/subject teacher or principal on a designated date and time.
  • PTM (Parent Teacher Meeting): After every term ends, parents are encouraged to visit the school and review their child’s performance with the class teacher and section head.
    What changes have you made in your school after the recent incident at another branch? How safe is it to send our kids to your school?
  • Safety and security of the child is of utmost importance for every member of the school.
  • The gates are sufficiently manned by the guards, all the pivotal points in the school are covered by CCTV, the school does not have any isolated areas.
  • Every subject teacher ensures the attendance of children in each period, regular check is kept by attendants in the washrooms, entry of visitors to school is restricted during the school hours.
  • Proper background checks are done for all staff members of the school and local police guidelines are followed.
    What are your safety policies and regulations followed by the schools?

The School at all times gives first priority to the safety, health and hygiene of the students and ensures a system of emergency preparedness.

  • CCTV cameras are installed to keep a check & cover the entire premises
  • Emergency Evacuation drills / Fire drills are conducted at a regular interval.
  • The maintenance staff conduct general building upkeep and are responsible for periodic inspections of fire safety equipment.
  • Fire exits are prominently displayed and explained to the students and staff during the drills.
  • The school strives to increase awareness of risks, prevent injuries, address unsafe or unhealthy conditions, and assist and advocate for staff dealing with any building environmental issues by organizing workshops for students and parents.
  • Frequent workshops are conducted in the schools which motivate students to follow hygiene and health care in their routines. Additionally, regular interactions are organized with doctors, dentists etc. to promote awareness & healthy habits.
  • The entry to the school is manned by guards at all times. Entry & exit of all visitors is recorded.
  • There are lady guards appointed at all the toilet doors on all floors. They are vigilant to all student movement in & out of the washrooms. In addition to this, there are lady guards present on all floors on corridor duties looking into & supervising student movement in the corridors.
  • ID Cards are issued to all students.
  • Parent ID cards & Escort cards have also been issued for additional security.
    Do you have a separate resource room in case of Medical Emergency? How are medical issues tackled?
  • There is a well-equipped Infirmary in the building with a nurse to attend to any emergency and give First Aid.
  • The school has also tied-up with nearby hospital for any major injuries.
    What are the qualifications of your teachers? Do they leave in the middle of the academic year?
  • We recruit only trained and certified teachers as per the policy of the education boards
  • Only in rare cases of transfers or medical issues do teachers leave in the middle of the academic year. In such an event, we ensure that a trained replacement is available before the teacher leaves.
    Do you have a teachers training programme in your school?
  • Yes, we have an internal training programme for teacher
  • Teachers also undergo subject related training as per the requirement of the board.
  • The newly appointed teachers are groomed by the senior teachers to maintain quality teaching standards.
